The Arun Sounds is a ladies barbershop chorus based in North Bersted, Bognor Regis, West Sussex.

We are a group of women who meet every week to enjoy the fun of singing and producing the wonderful sound of four-part harmony. When those chords lock, the rafters really do ring and the pleasure is fantastic. It takes time and effort to get that sound – but the results are worth every minute spent learning.

Our other hobbies and work environments are as diverse as our backgrounds which proves that anyone with a love of music and close harmony can fit right into our team. You don’t have to read music so if you enjoy singing you might want to become a member.

The Arun Sounds chorus was founded in 1981. We are a small chorus numbering at present 26 members. Although we have been around for over 25 years, our collective years of experience singing barbershop outstrips that number by far!

We are one of the many choruses who are affiliated to LABBS - the national Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singing.

The Arun Sounds are very active in the community, performing at Charity functions, private parties and nursing/residential homes – in fact almost anywhere! We aim to promote the singing and enjoyment of barbershop harmony in as wide an area as possible. We will take every opportunity to sing because that is what we love to do so you might even hear us in a restaurant when we’re all out together!
